Gloria is a Christian by calling, and by profession, a Research Fellow at the Noguchi Memorial Institute of Medical Research where she works in the Nutrition Department.
She read Science for O’ Level and A’ Level at WGHS, and went on to study at the University of Ghana. She holds a first degree from the University of Ghana (Biochemistry with Food Science and Nutrition), and Masters and PhD Degrees in Epidemiology and Population Health from London School Of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, specializing in Public Health Nutrition.
Her work at Noguchi Memorial Institute includes research that looks at the relationships between nutrition and health at various stages of the life cycle (infancy, childhood, adolescence, pregnancy and lactation), dietary behaviors and their determinants and links between diet and disease.
She also lectures on Nutritional Assessment at the School of Public Health, University of Ghana.
Gloria fellowships at Harvest Chapel International, Tesano, Accra, and Chairs the Planning committee of ‘Harvest Praise’, hosted by Harvest International Ministries.
Gloria is blessed with a husband, Rev Nana Folson, and is a mother to four lovely daughters by the grace of God.
She has a passion for cooking and cleaning (yes!) and enjoys baking and cake decorating.
